IGNORANCE OF THE LAW EXCUSES NO-ONE
Companies, Corporations, Partnerships and all Businesses are obliged to prepare and publish a manual containing certain information about themselves, by 31 August, 2003, failing which they are liable to be prosecuted, leading to a fine or jail or both.
The manual must then be advertised in the Government Gazette and delivered to the South African Human Rights Commission in Johannesburg. A copy is retained at your offices and, where one is available, published on your web site.
In line with our Constitution, the Act permits access to the information in the manual where this is necessary for the exercise or and protection of rights but subject to the protection of trade secrets, information held by third parties or confidential to your business.
Our company will prepare the manual on your behalf
disclosing only the information called for in the Act and ensuring that
you
don't divulge more than is strictly necessary to comply with your
legal obligations.
Our service includes drafting the manual, submitting it to the Human
Rights Commission and advertising in the Government Gazette.
We will also supply a hard copy of the manual for you
to keep at your offices and, if needed,
a stiffy disc in Text/MS Word for your web site
Our fee is available on request
